László Harmat Ph.D.

Associate Professor in Psychology, Linnaeus University, Sweden

I am an Associate Professor in Psychology at Linnaeus University, Faculty of Health-and Life Sciences, Department of Psychology, Växjö, Sweden. My primary research interest is music psychology and positive psychology. My activities has been focused on expertise and skills learning, explaining musical emotions, as well as biological mechanism of underlying intrinsic motivation and the psychological flow experience.

I have just started to conduct a new intervention study to evaluate the efficacy of choral singing on cognitive functioning and psychological well-being and the underlying neural mediating mechanisms in the elderly.
